This week we had a guest speaker, David Levine. His talk began with a rocket launching into space. It was so cool to be able to see this live, the rocket is heading to one of Jupiter's moons to look for life. However, what really stuck out to me among all of his works was definitely the Mario project he did in New York. It was so impressive to see the world of Mario come to life. I really enjoyed getting to know him and what he does. It was also nice to hear him talk about his work with clients and what questions he asks during the process.
In class, we have begun working on our new project. As a class, we are creating a scavenger hunt for the Columbia Museum’s Arts and Draft event. This week we were able to go down to the museum and meet our clients and learn what their rules and goals are for the scavenger hunt. We also decided the flow we wanted for the hunt and some additional things we need to create like the forms people will fill out before starting. Going down to the museum and being able to see the space and art we are bringing to life was very helpful and exciting. I'm so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to get started.
