Introduction
X-Fest is a comic-con-style event celebrating the iconic X-Men universe! Fans come together to honor legendary X-Men artists and characters through exclusive artwork, panels, and meet-ups. It’s a vibrant celebration of everything X-Men, where creativity and fandom collide!
Poster Design
For the X-Fest poster design, I wanted to create something that captured the power and energy of the X-Men universe. I placed the event text around the Scarlet Witch, a central character with a strong visual presence, to make her the focal point of the design. The text wraps around her in a dynamic way, highlighting both the event and her iconic status in the X-Men world. What makes this design even more personal is that I scanned the image directly from one of my own comics. This not only gives the poster a unique, authentic touch but also ties it back to the roots of my own X-Men fandom. It’s a blend of nostalgia, artistry, and celebration—perfect for an event that honors the best of X-Men!

Book Cover
The book cover design centers around Quicksilver, with the title text flowing around him in a way that highlights his speed and intensity. As siblings, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch have always shared a unique, powerful bond within the X-Men universe, and I wanted this dynamic to be reflected in my design. I scanned this image directly from one of my own comics as well, adding a personal, authentic touch to the cover. This book will showcase all the incredible artwork from X-Fest, celebrating both the sibling duo and the talented artists who bring their stories to life. It’s a tribute to their legacy and the creativity that drives the X-Men universe forward.

Web & Print Advertising
For both the web and print ads, I wanted to highlight the dynamic energy of Quicksilver and his sister, Scarlet Witch, as the iconic sibling duo at the heart of the X-Men universe. Quicksilver takes center stage in the design, with the event title text flowing around him in a way that emphasizes his speed and intensity. I scanned the image directly from one of my own comics, adding a personal, authentic touch to the visuals. To tie in the theme of speed, I designed the QR code to be placed on Quicksilver’s figure, incorporating dash lines around it to represent his lightning-fast movement. This makes the QR code not only functional but also a visual extension of Quicksilver’s character. The ads promote X-Fest and showcase the incredible artwork from the event, highlighting the talented artists who bring these iconic characters to life. Whether online or in print, the design captures the excitement of the event and the lasting legacy of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, while making it easy for fans to connect and access everything X-Fest has to offer.
Billboard
For the X-Fest billboard, I made sure to keep the design consistent with the rest of the campaign, maintaining the same vibrant energy and visual style. To ensure everything was cohesive, I only pulled photos from the same comic, creating a unified look that ties all the promotional materials together. The images I chose feature both Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch together, emphasizing their sibling bond and their iconic status in the X-Men universe. This not only highlights their shared importance to the story but also creates a visually striking composition that grabs attention. By staying true to the design elements—like the dynamic flow of text and the personal comic imagery—the billboard feels like a natural extension of the event’s identity, tying the whole X-Fest experience together with consistency and visual impact.

Merchandise
For X-Fest, I designed a unique line of merchandise that captured the essence of the event’s iconic characters. Drawing inspiration from Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver), I created bold designs that fused their powers with elements of their visual identities. I incorporated the iconic lightning bolt that represents Quicksilver’s super speed, alongside the mystical crown that Scarlet Witch is known for, which added a magical, powerful touch to the collection. The result was merchandise that celebrated the characters. It also tied in perfectly with the event's theme and my ad campaign.
